CLYDESDALE MEMBERSHIP LIST
Welcome to the Clydesdale Horse Association of Canada. Our Association was incorporated in 1886, under the Ontario Agricultural and Arts Act, and incorporated under the Live Stock Pedigree Act, in 1901, for the encouragement, development and regulation of Clydesdale horses in Canada.
The Clydesdale Horse Association of Canada maintains a supervision of breeders of Clydesdale horses, and establishes standards of breeding, and a system of registrations through the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation (CLRC).The Association annually publishes and distributes to members an impressive and comprehensive full colour directory of members, industry news, show results and articles – The Canadian Clydesdale Contact.

2025 THE PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

“So” I guess 2025 is behind us. It seems so much has changed in so few years, but one thing seems to remain constant, the Clydesdale Horse Association of Canada keeps moving ahead and the Clydesdale horse becomes more and more famous in the draft horse world. In the past year, we as an association have seen many good things come to us. The foal spectacular, held at the Royal, has grown in numbers of entries plus in total prize monies. For this we thank Victoria McCullough and her foundation. We also want to take this opportunity to congratulate all the Canadians that exhibited at 2025 World Clydesdale Show in Springfield Illinois. You all certainly did us and Canada proud. We can now announce that Canada will be the proud host of the next world Clydesdale show in 2029. So by time you read this, you will only have approximately 3 years to get your plan in order to attend and time goes by fast. We, as an association also increased our amount of sponsorship to more foal shows in the east and west of our great country. This should give our Clydesdale breeders more opportunity to showcase our future champions of the Clydesdale breed. Without Clydesdale breeders there is no future. So, the best of luck in 2026, and lets move on to bigger and better things. We must remember, “the future is our greatest asset”.
