Welcome to the Clydesdale Horse Association of Canada. Our Association was incorporated in 1886, under the Ontario Agricultural and Arts Act, and incorporated under the Live Stock Pedigree Act, in 1901, for the encouragement, development and regulation of Clydesdale horses in Canada.
The Clydesdale Horse Association of Canada maintains a supervision of breeders of Clydesdale horses, and establishes standards of breeding, and a system of registrations through the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation (CLRC).The Association annually publishes and distributes to members an impressive and comprehensive full colour directory of members, industry news, show results and articles – The Canadian Clydesdale Contact.
The Davis McCullough Foundation and Victoria McCulloughThank you to Victoria McCullough for investing in the future of the Clydesdale Breed by her continued sponsorship of the Clydesdale Foal Spectacular, now known as the Clydesdale Royal Spectacular. The $100,000 sponsorship will be distributed to all participants placing in the class; $1,500. awarded to the breeder of the yearling Champion as well as the Champion foal. The Clydesdale Royal Spectacular will be help in conjunction with the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto Canada Nov 8, 2025. Foal Nominations are due January 20, 2025. Yearlings Nominations are due September 1, 2025!
